TaxDesk MCP connector

Run your tax workspace from the agent you already use.

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, or Microsoft Copilot to TaxDesk. Your agent can read the live workspace and do most of what you do in the app, within your permissions.

  • Works with the agent you choose
  • Reads and changes records within your permissions
  • Every change logged and reversible

From request to recorded change

Ask in plain language. The record stays current.

Your agent checks the evidence, makes the change through TaxDesk, and confirms the result. TaxDesk logs the change so you can review or reverse it later.

What your agent can do

Most of the work you do in TaxDesk, from a conversation.

The connector gives your agent the same records and actions your TaxDesk account has. You can review everything it does in the app.

01

Investigate the whole workspace

Read entities, ownership, filings, payments, tax balances, CRA accounts, audits, and documents. Search documents and compare them with the recorded facts.

02

Set up and maintain entities

Create entities and parties, add CRA program accounts so deadlines are generated, and record share classes, share transactions, and governance roles.

03

Keep compliance current

Update filing status, add filings, record payments and their outcomes, and link payments to the filings they cover.

04

Maintain tax balances

Record tax attribute entries, dividends, loss pools and applications, and CCA/UCC balances, each with a dated history.

05

Handle CRA reviews and audits

Open a review or audit case, list the requested items, set the response date, and link the supporting documents.

06

Leave clear follow-up

Add notes to entities and documents, and flag entities, documents, or filings for your team to review.

Connected to the source

Work in your agent. Verify in TaxDesk.

Your agent reads current records, not a copy, and links back to the workspace. TaxDesk remains the place to check source documents and the history of every change.

Structured records

Your agent sees the whole group, not a pile of files.

Entities, filings, documents, ownership, and tax balances arrive as connected records, so your agent can answer across the group instead of searching folders.

Canadian tax research

Check the rules without leaving the conversation.

The connector can look up Canadian tax legislation and case law, so your agent can compare the rules with the facts in your workspace. Treat the results as research to verify, not advice.

  • Canadian tax statutes and regulations, with the provision cited
  • Relevant court decisions when a question turns on interpretation
  • Kept separate from the facts recorded in your workspace

Your permissions, your record

Every change is visible and can be reversed.

Your agent works under your TaxDesk account. TaxDesk records what it changed and keeps the previous version.

  • Your agent signs in as you. It can only see and change what your TaxDesk account can.
  • Reading, private document content, notes and flags, and record changes are separate permissions you choose when you connect.
  • Changes go through the same checks as the TaxDesk app and need an active subscription.
  • TaxDesk saves the previous version before each change, logs it in the entity’s activity, and lets you reverse it.
  • Your assistant may ask you to confirm before it changes a record. You control that setting in your assistant.
  • Your agent cannot submit a return to the CRA or another authority. TaxDesk has no CRA connection.
